Sometimes a mom's love is so strong she makes the brave decision to have a baby on her own. Celebrating love and possibility, Mommy Chose Me explores how a solo mommy can have a child and conveys the special idea that children were "chosen" by their mom. Told through the voice of a child, this story recounts how a child can be "chosen," and shows that there are many different ways to have a family.
Purchase Today"Scherly Leon is not a stranger to me; I knew her when she was in training at the National Institutes of Health. She has always been knowledgeable and clear about her goals. When my son was diagnosed with renal failure, I reached out to Scherly to discuss the prognosis and gain a better understanding of what it meant. She took the time to answer my questions and provide detailed information on what would likely happen next. She even offered to be an advocate for my son if she could get permission."
"Scherly Leon is a compassionate and knowledgeable health advocate. She provided helpful guidance and support to me and my family during a very difficult health crisis. I will forever be grateful for her ability to explain complex medical issues in terms that I could understand. I feel privileged to have someone who is dependable, caring, and always a phone call away when you need her."
